You’re not wrong, people do seem to get really wound up over the subject, particularly the ones replying on your post!! It can be hilarious watching it from the outside…. There were always fundamental differences between Superman and Batman, but probably none more so than the simple fact that they are both extremely intelligent: Superman, in a lot of the comics, is often protrayed as a genius, while also being (lets be fair) not the sharpest tool in the box when it came to cunning, observation, general “whats going on” kinda stuff… Whereas Batman was also highly intelligent, but in more of an analytical, planning, crafty, devious kind of a way. In terms of planning and strategy and so on, Batman pretty much always wins out over the farmboy.

Arguments like “Batman would kick Superman’s ass!!” and “Superman could kill Batman by farting at him” are right up there beside “Apples are better than oranges!!”

You should see some of the responses to my Superman vs Batman post. I prefer Batman but the post was a throw away one but the people who commented are really passionate about the subject! What I could never understand is why nobody recognised Clarke Kent without his glasses... He obviously never went swimming in a public swimming pool!
